①We are investigating and researching of marine life.

●We investigated the habitat of Oki salamanders(Hynobius okiensis) and Oki Tago’s Brown Frog(Rana tagoi okiensis), which are endemic species of Oki island in Shimane Prefecture.
We are striving to protect the Ex-Situ conservation area from aiming for establishing a breeding technique.

●We investigated the habitat of Secret loach(Cobitis takatsuensis).
We are striving to aim for establishing a breeding technique.

●We investigated the habitat of Minami-Akahire Tabira(Acheilognathus tabira jordani), which is Prefectural endangered species.
We are striving to aim for establishing a breeding technique.

●We are investigating the strandings of sea turtles, whales, pinnipeds, and so on.

②We work on the breeding of marine life.

○We strive to improve the breeding environment with the aim of healthy breeding of breeding organisms.

○Beluga Whales were born and are growing steadily in August 2009 and July 2014.
Going forward, we will continue to actively work on the breeding of beluga and aim to establish breeding techniques.

○ Concerning pinnipeds and penguins, we will strive to improve the environment not only by increasing the number of breeding in this museum alone but also by supplying them to other aquariums, and aim to establish breeding techniques.

○ For other breeding organisms, we will further improve the breeding environment and aim to establish breeding technology so that even one kind of breeding can be self-breeding.
